Experience

Brad Begelman is the founder of Begelman Law and has over 30 years of experience in real estate and business law. He represents landlords, commercial tenants, property and business owners, with a focus on practical risk allocation and execution.

Brad has handled thousands of real estate transactions, including commercial leases (representing both tenants and landlords), property sales and financings. His work includes negotiating and drafting agreements, managing due diligence, coordinating with brokers and lenders, and guiding clients through closing.

Over his career, Brad has served as a law firm partner and as general counsel for a national real estate company and a New York Stock Exchange listed real estate investment trust. In those roles, he provided legal guidance on contracts, corporate governance, employment matters, insurance, compliance, litigation, and governmental affairs.

Perspective

In addition to his legal experience, Brad is a licensed Pennsylvania Real Estate Broker. This dual background gives him a practical, business-focused perspective on real estate transactions and allows him to anticipate issues that arise beyond the four corners of the documents.

Professional Leadership

Brad is an active member of the Pennsylvania Apartment Association and serves on its Governmental Affairs Committee. He has also served on the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Board of Governors and as Chair of its Real Estate Section.

Approach

Real estate and business transactions can be complex and stressful. With decades of experience and a bit of humor, Brad helps reduce friction, defuse tense situations, and guide clients toward efficient, successful outcomes.
